The 23-year-old Brazilian, on loan from Chelsea, suffered the injury as he fouled Bluebirds Cardiff winger Kadeem Harris during the Championship 2-2 draw.
Piazon was booked before being replaced with Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic described the injury as the 'worst news' for his side.

However, the winger, who underwent surgery, insists he will feature for The Cottagers before returning to the Blues.
Piazon posted a photo of himself with a peace symbol at the University Hospital of Wales after the game.
'Thank God the operation was successful,' he wrote. 'Lp's jaw is already in place again, soon less will I be back in the field! #Godisgreat'
Piazon has scored six goals in 25 games in all competitions for Fulham so far this season, having made just one Premier League appearance for Chelsea in his career, which came in the 2012.
